Minister Myrvin Garnett
Minister Myrvin was born on the island of St.Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands to Guyanese parents. His parents moved to the United States when he was of school age where they placed him at St. John Neumann Catholic Primary School. Living and growing up in East New York, Brooklyn was interesting. He attended Thomas A. Edison Vocational & Technical High School in Queens, NY with studies in mechanical engineering and graduating in 1990. He was accepted at New York Institute of Technology where he attended classes nightly and on weekends at the Manhattan campus. At this time he attended St. Paul Community Baptist Church in East New York, Brooklyn under Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood as a pew sitter. Minister Myrvin moved his family to Hempstead - Long Island, NY with no place to fellowship. Some years later, he would eventually move back to East New York, Brooklyn to his family home. Minster Myrvin returned seeking guidance at St. Paul Community Baptist Church. The growing church welcomed him just as Rev. Dr. David K. Brawley joined the leadership and was selected to head the men's ministry. Experiencing this phenomenon of men in the church, led him to seek God through fellowship and wisdom through the book of Proverbs. Minister Myrvin started to rebuild his life and continued his corporate climb which led him to Plainview, New York. Myrvin then moved to Amityville, NY where he fell out of fellow-ship but still kept prayer in his life. In 2009, divine faith stepped in when he met Miss Nadean Devine; not knowing she would be God’s answered prayer. At this time, Minister Myrvin realized that what he was seeking was salvation through Jesus. He accepted God as the leader of his life. He intentionally sought to be baptized at St. Paul Community Baptist Church in East New York, Brooklyn 1 under the newly installed Pastor, Rev. Dr. David K Brawley. It is at St. Paul that Myrvin, first saw black men of faith in our community sharing the Wor of God and supporting one another. He decided to join the church. He finally recognized that God heard and answered his prayers when it cam to a spouse and their union. Together they have 5 children, and 2 grandchildren. Now joined as one, they both decided to join Faith Deliverance Christian Center soon after its’ birth under the leadership of Bishop Jermaine Henderson. Seeing the active male presence at FDCC Minister Myrvin felt led to stay on the path seeking God. Bishop Jermaine Henderson and the founding members selected him to be a 'Deacon In Training'. He didn't want a title or position within the church but he was willing and wanted to serve. Titles didn't impress him since he already understood that with a title comes more responsibility which was a serious undertaking. Minister Myrvin took the charge of Deacon, seriously while serving. Minister Myrvin has grown spiritually during his walk with The Lord. He is faithful in seeking the Lord; under the leadership of Pastor Kim Hargwood and the Holy Spirits guidance. He has been trusted to speak to God’s people. Minister Myrvin & Evangelist Nadean Garnett are servants of the Lord along with their son Nehemiah
Evangelist Donna Hines
Born in Hollis Queens NY and relocating to Hempstead NY at 2 years old. Donna was always walking in her purpose unknowingly. Donna started attending church at the young age of 6 or 7 and joined Faith Baptist Church. Under the leadership of the late Pastor Joseph J. Howell, Donna was baptized in 1980 at the age of 11 by Howell and subconsciously began walking in her purpose.
In 1994 she met Deacon in training George Hines Jr and in 2000 they became united. This union was blessed with 4 loving children and 3 grandchildren.
Donna continued her education in the Hempstead school district graduating
from Hempstead High School in 1988. She furthered her studies at Ashford
University and Easter Gateway college. In 2000 Donna started a Childcare
business, where she could help guide families in all walks of life.
Donna began faithfully attending The Greater Allen A. M. E. that same year for
about 10 years under the leadership of Dr. Rev Floyd and Elaine Flake. For many
years Donna walked in the role of ministry but, not claiming a title, she
continuously did the work knowing that she was chosen. Donna attached
herself to many community organizations for years to help do God’s work and
spread God’s love.
In 2019 Donna started attending Faith Deliverance Christian Center in
Lindenhurst NY under the leadership of Pastor Kim Hargwood. It was here
where the ministry became reality, it was here where the spirit gave birth. It is
here where Donna recognized the title to the life that she has been living.
Standing on God’s word and seeing the vision of FDCC she will continue to
develop others in their ministry.
Evangelist Nadean Garnett
Nadean grew up in the small town of Amityville, NY. Her tight knit immediate family consisted of her two brothers, mother and grandparents (who lived next door). It was there and then that she received the life changing seeds that would later bloom into a hunger and a thirst for Jesus. As a child, she attended Zion Baptist Church in Amityville. As she grew older, like many youth she decided to venture into the the world and explore a life without church and the word. After a few years of life’s lessons, she returned to the Lord and restarted her journey under the tutelage of the late Dr. John A. Jackson of the New Hope Institutional Baptist Church in Amityville. She grew in her spiritual and scriptural knowledge and understanding while serving on the worship team and attending various courses offered by her brilliant Pastor. During that period of her life, she met, fell in love with and married the man God had ordained for her life. Shortly after her nuptials to Minister Myrvin Garnett, her son Nehemiah was born fulfilling a word the Lord had spoken. Years later, divine intervention led he to the new and current leadership of Pastor Kim Hargwood of the Faith Deliverance Christian Center in Lindenhurst, NY. She now serves as a youth Sunday school teacher, a praise & worship team member and wherever else her commitment is needed
